Terms of service

These terms cover buying from Meow Belle at meowbellle.shop. Placing an order means you accept them. We have tried to write them in plain language rather than legal language.

Who we are and what we sell

Meow Belle is a cat food shop based in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

We are a retailer, not a manufacturer. We stock imported Reflex Plus and Prostar cat food and sell it on in the manufacturer's own sealed bags. We never repack, never decant, and never sell loose food. The bag you receive is the bag that left the factory.

Prices

All prices are in Bangladeshi Taka and are the final amount for the product. No VAT or tax is added at checkout. Delivery is charged separately and is shown before you confirm your order.

Where a product shows a higher price crossed out next to the price you pay, that crossed out price is our own regular price. It is not another shop's price and we do not present it as one.

We may change prices at any time, but never on an order you have already placed. What you agreed to at checkout is what you pay at the door.

Orders

Your order is an offer to buy. It is accepted once we confirm it and dispatch it.

We may decline or cancel an order, and we will tell you why. The usual reasons are that the delivery address is outside Dhaka city, an item turns out to be out of stock, the contact details do not work, or an order looks fraudulent. If we cancel and you have already paid, you get every taka back.

Paying

We accept cash on delivery and bKash. We do not accept cards or Nagad at this time.

We do not publish a bKash number on this website. If you choose bKash we message the number to you after your order and confirm against your TrxID. Anyone messaging you a different number claiming to be Meow Belle is not us, and you should tell us.

We do not store card details, because we do not take card payments.

Delivery and returns

Delivery areas, charges and timings are in our delivery policy.

You may inspect your order at the door and hand it back to the rider before paying, in which case you pay the delivery charge only. Our returns and refunds policy sets out exactly how that works and what happens if we get an order wrong.

Product information and your cat's health

Ingredient lists, feeding guides and analytical figures on this site are taken from the manufacturer's own published information for that product. We reproduce them, we do not calculate them. If a figure has never been published for a product, we leave the field empty rather than estimate it.

Cat food is food. It is not a medicine and we make no claim that any product treats, prevents or cures any condition. Recipes described as urinary, hairball, sterilised or similar are formulated for those needs by the manufacturer, and that is all we claim for them. If your cat is unwell, or straining in the litter box, please see a vet rather than change food and wait.

This website

The text, photographs and design on this site belong to Meow Belle, except for product imagery and brand names owned by the manufacturers. Please do not copy them for a competing shop.

We try to keep everything on the site accurate and current. If you find something wrong, tell us and we will fix it.

Liability

If something goes wrong with an order, our responsibility is to put that order right: a replacement, or a refund of what you paid us for it, including delivery. Nothing in these terms takes away any right you have under Bangladeshi consumer law.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh, and any dispute goes to the courts of Dhaka.

Changes

We may update these terms. The version published here when you place your order is the version that applies to it.
